Robert M. Neydon

Hillsborough- Robert M. Neydon, 52, died on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at home. Born in Detroit, MI, he lived the past 20 years in Hillsborough. Bob graduated from Wabash College and then received his MBA from Vanderbilt University in TN. Bob was a Regional Vice President of Enterprise Sales North East for Five9 Corporation. He is survived by his beloved wife, Cynthia (Young) Neydon of 25 years; daughters, Kimberly Neydon and Sarah Neydon, all of Hillsborough; parents, Peter and Sheila Neydon of Holland, MI; siblings, Mary Youngerman and husband, Douglas of Holland, MI and Joseph P. Neydon and wife, Sarah of Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ; many nieces and nephews and his beloved “Chloe” and “Kingsley”.  Bob’s primary passion in life was being a father and helping his daughters achieve their goals.  He treasured spending time with his wife, watching sports (IU basketball), traveling, and going on spontaneous adventures together.  Family time, especially when it included his parents and siblings, was cherished.  Bob was an avid reader with an intense love of learning.  His career was very important to him and he took pride in his success.  He valued his co-workers and his position at Five9 was extremely rewarding.  One of the most impressive aspects of Bob was his vast number of interests.  Biking and hiking with friends, detailing cars, listening to podcasts and discussing current events are just some of the things he enjoyed.  Visiting hours will be held from 6-9 pm on Friday, March 29, 2019 at the Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 East Main Street, Bridgewater, NJ 08807. Prayers will be said 9AM on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at the funeral home followed by a 10 AM Mass at St. Joseph’s Church in Hillsborough. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made through gofundme to the Bob Neydon Memorial Fund.

My deepest sympathies to the entire Neydon family. On Wednesday March 20th Bob and I accidentally bumped into each at Newark Airport going to Boston. We were on the same flight. It was so nice to see him. We worked in the same industry for 20+ years and at one point he worked at ConvergeOne were I currently work. We spent an hour or so talking about life, work, kids, etc... He was always a true gentlemen and business professional. He told me how great his kids were doing, how much he enjoyed Five 9s and how excited he was for the NCAA tournament. We parted ways as he went on his business as did I and I remember being genuinely happy to have bumped into him. While we don't know each other Cynthia I wanted you to know how happy I was to cross paths with Bob on that day. Always had and will continue to have a high degree of respect for him. Condolences Dan Colella

I am so saddened to hear the news. Bob was very fun to talk with when I bumped into him at IU. I always walked away knowing you had created a great family and life together. I know his memory will always be a blessing. Our thoughts, love and prayers go out to the Neydon family.

With deepest sympathies,

I am saddened to hear this tragic news. I will always remember Bob's zest for life, fun, sports, and family. He brightened many days and lives while a student here at Wabash - in our fraternity house, in the classrooms, and on the teams he positively impacted. I am so sorry for your loss, hoping that the love and joy he shared will sustain you through the shock and sadness of this tough time.
