George Vadinsky

Bound Brook- George Vadinsky, 96, died peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at Sunrise Senior Living at Bridgewater. One of 13 children, George was born and lived in Bound Brook until moving to Bridgewater 2 years ago. He was a 27 year US Navy Veteran as a Lieutenant Commander and served during three wars, WWII, Korea and Vietnam. He retired as a roofer at Local 4 in Parsippany. George was a communicant of St. Mary of Czestochowa Church in Bound Brook. In his spare time, he enjoyed swimming, bike riding and spending time with his wife, Josephine, walking the mall together. He was a man of many talents and trades, enjoying woodworking projects, and sewing special blankets for his grandchildren. Later in life, George enjoyed the simple things too, filling up his many bird feeders, watching the birds living in his vast collection of bird house, eating Oreo cookies and playing Find-a-Word and Bingo. George will be greatly missed by family and friends.

He is predeceased by his beloved wife, Josephine Vadinsky in 2020 and his grandson, Eric Vadinsky in 2022. 

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his beloved children, Joseph A. Vadinsky and his wife, Barbara and William G. Vadinsky and wife, Donna; grandchildren, Amy, Brian, Carly, Christopher, Jodi, and Jenna; great-grandchildren, Dylan and Mya; and many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held from 9-10AM with a 10AM funeral service on Monday, April 8, 2024 at the Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 E. Main Street, Bridgewater, NJ 08807. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Bridgewater. 

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to St. Hubert's Animal Welfare Center.
