Wanda I. Banka

Wanda Banka, 90, died peacefully on November 4, 2025 at RWJ hospital in Somerville, NJ. She is predeceased by her father Aleksander Kowalik, mother Wladyslawa (Szymaniak) Trzesniowski and by her husband Stanislaw E Banka. She was born in Orchowiec, Poland. Wanda lived in Manville for the past 55 years, she was a devout member of Sacred Heart Church (Christ the Redeemer). She enjoyed taking care of her garden, as well as cooking authentic Polish food for her family and friends. She loved to sew, spend time with her family, and spoil her grandchildren. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her beloved children: John Banka and wife Elizabeth of Whitehouse Station, George Banka and wife Kathy of Whitehouse Station, and Barbara Canavan and her husband Jeffrey of Montgomery, and grandchildren: Michelle Banka, Christopher Banka and wife Flavia, Anne Marie Coyle and husband Dan, Stephanie Canavan, Lexie Canavan and Kevin Canavan and 2 great-grandchildren: Nora and Lauren. Visiting hours will be held from 7:30AM- 8:30AM on Monday, November 10, 2025 at the Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 East Main St., Bridgewater, NJ 08807.  A funeral mass will follow 9AM at Christ the Redeemer Parish in Manville. Burial will take place at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hillsborough.
