Vincenza Borsa, 90

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Vincenza Borsa, beloved mother and grandmother, aunt and great-aunt who left us peacefully on November 25th, 2024.

Born in 1934 in Porto Empedocle Sicily, Vincenza immigrated to the United States in 1961. Her determination and resilience shaped the life she would establish in New York City. Shortly after her arrival, she married Giuseppe, and together they created a home filled with warmth and joy. Vincenza quickly established roots for her new family and paved the way for her siblings to join her in the United States. She considered her home her greatest accomplishment —  a testament to her unwavering strength and commitment to building a better life for herself and her family.

Vincenza was the wife of the late Giuseppe, devoted mother to Frank and Lillian and proud and loving grandmother to Dennis and Joseph. She was predeceased by her siblings, Pietro, Alfonso, Giuseppe, Rosa, and Stella. Vincenza will be remembered for her unyielding spirit, endurance, dedication to family, and the love she shared with those who knew her. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and all who were touched by her kindness.

Visitation will be held from 2-4pm, on Tuesday, November 26, 2024  at the Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 East Main Street, Bridgewater, NJ 08807. A private funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at 10am at Blessed Sacrament Church in Bridgewater NJ. Entombment will be held at St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia, NJ. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her memory to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or the Alzheimer’s Association.

Vincenza’s love will live on in the memories she leaves behind, and she will forever be missed.
