Tim Kirschbaum Obituary

May 3, 1967-November 19, 2023

Tim was born in Richmond, VA.  He grew up in the Philadelphia area graduating from Abington High School.  From there he went to West Chester University and then received his degree from William Patterson University.  He was a social worker who enhanced the lives of the developmentally disabled community.  He worked selflessly, without limits, to integrate this disadvantaged community into the main stream via travel, sports, art, and even partnering with clients to do Door Dash runs.

When Tim was at WCU he met who would be his wife years later.  Through the magic of Facebook he reunited with Ellen and they were married in 2011. It was a love story filled with lots of laughs and adventures.

Tim loved to have a house filled with family and  friends and he made every event extra special.

Tim leaves behind many friends who shared his passions- the Philadelphia Eagles, Scotch, cars, games, and discussions about life.

Tim was The Bike Guy, The Lamp Guy and The Book Guy.  Buying and selling was not just a hobby.  If you showed up for his wares, you also were given a tour of the house with the history of his home and stories about his collections.

His beloved family who he loved with all his heart includes his wife Ellen (nee Kimmel) of Bound Brook, NJ, his daughter Rebecca and cherished granddaughter Amelia of Oakland, NJ, his brothers Damon (Amy) of West Hartford, CT, Nathan (Anastasia) of Belchertown, MA, and Jonathan (Daniece) of Atlanta, GA.  His Mother, Peggy Walker (Marty) of The Villages, FL and his Father Norman (Carol) of Springfield and his brother-in-law Kevin (Carol) of Bridgewater, NJ. In addition there are his loving Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews who also adored this special man.

Tim is also missed by his loving chocolate labs, Kona and Snickers.

Tim was a force of nature and lived his life on his terms always with humor, kindness and generosity.  Those were his super powers. He touched the lives of so many that is it hard to accept a world without him.  Our hearts are broken and our lives forever changed.  We will miss you.  Fly Tim Fly.
