 Bridgewater- Thomas John Francis (Tommy) Briskey, 63 passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at CareOne in Bridgewater. Tommy was born in Elizabeth, NJ to the late Thomas, Jr. and Audrey Briskey and was raised in Scotch Plains before calling Bridgewater home for the past 31 years.

Tommy is lovingly remembered by his friends and family as a kind, affable, inquisitive and incredibly easy-going problem-solver who was always quick to lend-a-hand. He was an endless tinkerer who loved his cars and his tools along with his large extended family and his dogs.  Tommy was approachable and generous, well humored and famous for a positive spirit that met every challenge with a reassuring “No Problem”.  He will most be remembered for his kind soul, his generosity, his strong devotions to family, and the grace with which he faced life’s trials.

Tommy is predeceased by his sister, Audrey and brother-in-law Ed Shive, as well as nephews, Vincent James Wahler, John David Spack, and Matthew and Charlie Shive.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory; Donna (Wahler) Briskey, his loving wife of 33 years; sister Rose Marie (Briskey) Munch and husband, Robert; sister Eileen (Briskey) Spack and husband, Bill; brother-in-law, Jay Wahler; and nephews Matt, Eric and Tyler Wahler, Billy Spack and nieces Erinn and Emily Spack as well as great-nephew, Lucas and great-nieces Leah and Keira Shive.

Visiting hours will be held from 4-7PM, Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at the Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 East Main Street, Bridgewater, NJ 08807. Funeral services will be 10AM, Thursday, February 25, 2021 at the funeral home, followed by burial at Hillside Cemetery in Scotch Plains.
