Tom Plick, 80, died Wednesday, February 19th at home surrounded by his family after a long illness. Born and proudly raised in Bound Brook, NJ he attended St Joseph’s Elementary School and was a member of the Bound Brook HS baseball team and the class of 1958 where he pitched a complete no hitter in April of 1958. Tom owned and operated his own barbershop until 1969 and began a second career at American Cyanamid to retire after 25 years of service.
Tom enjoyed a long retirement, spending time with his beloved family and friends. He traveled with his wife of 53 years Lorraine (Hoff), and loved attending school and sporting events for his grandchildren, Madyson and Donovan Epps.
Tom was predeceased by his daughter, Melissa (Missy) Plick, sister, Helen Plick, sister-in-law, Joyce Plick and brother-in-law, Charles Hoff. In addition to his wife and grandchildren, Tom is survived by his daughter, Michelle Plick (Darryl Epps) of Plainfield, brother, Leo Plick of Hillsborough, and sister-in-law, Roberta D’Alessandro Houston TX; along with host of adored nieces and nephews.
A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at 1:00 PM in the afternoon at the Church of St Bernards St. Stanislaus in Plainfield NJ. Committal will be private at a later date.
