Theresa Kosinski Obituary

Theresa Mary Domanski Kosinski 91yrs and 9 months young!  3/6/30 – 12/12/21

Mother-Bobcia-Big Bobcia-Coccia

Theresa began her joyful journey with Jesus and Blessed Mother at her home in Finderne, with her family by her side. In her final moments, she opened her eyes wide and her face transformed into the biggest most joyous smile as her granddaughters, Heaven’s Angels, Carolyn Marie Donnelly and Veronica Lexi Hector held her hands and walked by her side, leading her into Heaven.

Theresa was a woman of very strong faith, praying the Rosary and The Divine Mercy Novena’s daily. When you visited her, she would not let you leave without telling you ‘I’ll be praying for you’. She always had a Rosary in her hand or pocket and a Scapular around her neck. She was an active communicant of St Mary of Czestochowa Church in Bound Brook NJ serving on the Altar Rosary Society, The Blue Army, singing in the Choir and calling Bingo Friday nights at St Mary’s School.

Theresa was the most positive and upbeat person who loved to have fun. The Annual Domanski Family Picnic was the highlight of her year. Theresa and her sisters and cousins won the Domanski Family Picnic Talent Contest by singing Polish Songs in perfect harmony. Theresa was also the First Member of the Hell’s Babushkas Woman’s Club, enjoying annual weekend trips in June to Atlantic City with her daughters and nieces. Her eternal motto was ‘LET’S HAVE SOME FUN’! Earlier this month on Pierogi Day, she enjoyed making over 300 pierogi’s with her daughters. When asked that morning ‘What day is today Mom?’ She said ‘Today is the best day of your life!’

Theresa loved playing sports and was her children’s and grandchildren’s #1 Fan watching them play Football, Basketball, Softball, Baseball, Soccer, Track, Lacrosse and Cheerleading. She was voted Female Athlete of the Year at Somerville High School 1948. She coached her daughters and nieces on the CYO St Mary’s Youth Basketball League and the Dunellen Town Plumbing Softball League. She loved watching the Giants Football and Yankee Baseball games and occasionally rooted for the New England Patriots. She liked to call Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Judge her "other" grandsons.

Over the past month Theresa would recite her favorite poem which we would like to share with you:

Trees –by Joyce Kilmer

I think that I shall never see

A poem as lovely as a tree.

A tree whose hungry mouth is prest

Against the earth's sweet flowing breast;

A tree that looks at God all day,

And lifts her leafy arms to pray;

A tree that may in Summer wear

A nest of robins in her hair;

Upon whose bosom snow has lain;

Who intimately lives with rain.

Poems are made by fools like me,

But only God can make a tree.
