Theodore Petzold

Bridgewater- Theodore Petzold, 93, died peacefully on Sunday, April 11, 2021 at the Eastern Star Home in Bridgewater. Son of the late Charles and Elsie Petzold, Ted was born in Woodhaven, NY and lived most of his life in Waldwick, NJ until his retirement when he then moved to Toms River before moving to Bridgewater 3 years ago. He was a WWII Navy Veteran serving from 1945- 1946. Ted worked as a tractor trailer driver for Nabisco in Fairlawn for over 45 years. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Esther M. Petzold who died in 2018 and a sister, Elaine Bailey.  Ted leaves behind to cherish his memory, his beloved children, Janice Schocklin and husband, Jack of Bridgewater, Nancy Schocklin of Somerset, Karen Fitzsimmons and husband, Fred of OH; 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Private funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Bridgewater Funeral home, 707 East Main Street, Bridgewater, NJ 08807.
