Somerville - Terrance F. Owens, 78, passed away on Sunday, July 17th at Morristown Medical Center. Terry, affectionally known as “TO”, was born on April 6th, 1944 in Johnston, PA to the late Charles and Leona Owens. In 1962 he graduated from Richmond Township High School in Johnstown, PA. He enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in 1964 and proudly served his country in Vietnam as a Lance Corporal with the 1st Battalion, 4th Marines from 1966 - 1967. Terry earned many awards and medals during his time in Vietnam, including a Unit Presidential Citation before being honorably discharged in 1968. He lived in Middlesex, NJ for over 20 years before moving to Somerville in 1993. He was an active member of the American Legion Post 12 in Somerville for over 50 years.

Terry was predeceased by his daughter, Francesca Sullivan, in 2008. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Winifred Owens of Somerville, his daughter Kristina Isacksen of Tampa, FL, his two son-in-laws, Mark Sullivan of Bridgewater and Scott Isacksen of Tampa, FL. He also leaves behind his three cherished grandchildren, Tyler Sullivan and Samantha Sullivan of Bridgewater, and Ella Isacksen of Tampa, FL.

Private arrangements were entrusted to Bridgewater Funeral Home, Bridgewater, NJ.
