Steven L. Clauss

Manville – Steven L. Clauss, 66, passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at RWJ in Somerville. Steven was born in Philadelphia and resided in Norristown, PA for many years until moving to Manville in 1981. He was a chemical engineer at American Cyanamid and later for Stepan. In his spare time, he was an avid fisherman and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially when he could boast as a proud grandpa, who loved showing off pictures of his grandson, Andre, to co-workers and friends.

He is predeceased by his parents, James and Barbara Doyle.

Steven leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of over 39 years, Diane Clauss, children, Alexander Clauss, Cathryn Clauss-Araya and her  husband, Jorge, and Rebecca Clauss and her fiancé, Adam Szczesny, and grandson, Andre Steven, brother, Glenn Clauss and his wife, Alison;  step-siblings,  Regina Doyle Douglas and husband, Jake, Greg Doyle and wife, Joann, Shawn Doyle, Deborah Doyle Buley and Jay Doyle and wife, Sydney and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be held from ­­­­1-3PM, on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at the Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 East Main Street, Bridgewater, NJ 08807.

 In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society and the Bridgewater Regional Animal Shelter in Bridgewater NJ.
