Stanley J. Antos

Manville- Stanley J. Antos, died peacefully on Saturday, July, 1, 2023 at RWJUH-Somerset. Son of the late Lawrence and Catherine Antos, Stanley was born and raised in Swoyersville, PA and then moved to Manville in 1953. He worked as an electrical wireman for Research- Cottrell until their relocation out of NJ, and then began working in maintenance for Manville National Bank and Mary Mother of God church in Hillsborough. Stanley was an avid sportsman and bowler. He also played accordion, and in his younger years played in a band when he lived in PA. Stanley was a communicant of Christ the Redeemer Parish. He was a devout catholic and enjoyed taking trips to the Blue Army Shrine, Our Lady of Czestochowa Shrine and the Padre Pio Shrine.  He was an easy going, gentle soul with a unique and sometimes dry sense of humor. He will be missed by many and always be remembered for his signature line, “Anybody want coffee?”. He was predeceased by his siblings, Mary, Adam, George, Helen and Sophie; and son-in-law, Larry Lang. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his beloved wife of 64 years, Marianna Antos; children, Diane Lang, Darlene Antos; grandchildren, Amy Lang and boyfriend, Wyatt Fung, and Dr. Andrew Lang and wife, Dr. Althea Lang; and sister, Dorothy Condo. In addition, he leaves behind his cherished fur babies, Lucky, George and Zoey.  Visiting hours will be held from 6-8 PM on Friday, July 7, 2023 at the Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 East Main Street, Bridgewater, NJ 08807. Prayers will be said 8AM on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at the funeral home followed by a 9AM funeral mass at Christ the Redeemer Parish in Manville.  Entombment will follow at St. Bernard’s Cemetery in Bridgewater. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Somerset Regional Animal Shelter of St. Hubert’s Animal Shelter.
