Whitehouse Station
Rosemary Yurek, 93, died peacefully on Sunday, June 2, 2024, at RWJ Somerset. Born in Bound Brook to the late Joseph and Cathrine Savare. She was formerly of Bound Brook before moving to Whitehouse Station over 48 years ago with her late beloved husband Robert (Bob) C. Yurek. Rosemary was a Bound Brook High School graduate. She was employed by Eastern Steal Barrel as the president's secretary in Piscataway for over 40 years. Then, she continued her career, working at Earthhouse, until she retired at the age of 76. She enjoyed being a 4H mom for almost 20 years where she played a crucial part of her daughters competitions by never missing a competition, constantly driving and helping with various activities, and supporting her entire 4H family by creating a sense of comradery. She also enjoyed going to the Elks Convention every year, in Wildwood, New Jersey, with Bob and several other members, of their Elks “click”.
In her spare time, she enjoyed watching football, especially the New York Giants and Pittsburg Stealers. She also really enjoyed fine dining with family and friends. She will always be remembered for her infectious smile that matched her beautiful soul, and her kind heart towards animals, rescuing and caring for her cats and her two donkeys, along with taking care of her grand/furbabies when needed. She has also made many generous donations to help rescue animals. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her children, Joni (Spatz) Moretti and husband, Joe, and Barbara (Spartz) Lestorti; and two grandchildren, Kristin and Louis Lestorti along with two brothers Joseph (Diane) of Bridgewater and Charles (Rosalie) of Neshanic Station.
