Rose Marie Martino
Bridgewater- Rose Marie Martino, 86, died peacefully on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Daughter of the late John and Margaret Betsko, Rose Marie was born in Brownsville, PA, and lived in Somerville before moving to Bridgewater 57 years ago. Along with being a homemaker, she worked as a legal secretary in Somerville. Rose Marie was a dedicated communicant of St. Joseph's Church in Bound Brook. In addition, she was a member of the Rosary Altar Society, Catholic Daughters of America and Community of our Lady of Nazareth. Rose Marie was an avid reader, enjoyed watching the Yankees, playing cards and dancing, but her greatest joy came from spending time with family.
Rose Marie is predeceased by her beloved husband, Richard N. Martino, Sr.; siblings, James Betsko, Sr., Andrew Michael Betsko and John Stephen Betsko. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her beloved children, Donna Martino of PA, Denyse Wright of Bound Brook, Richard N. Martino, Jr., of Manville, Michael J. Martino and wife, Maryellen of PA; grandchildren, Nikole Angelone and husband, John, Heather Gunn, Jeffrey Gunn, Kaileigh Wright, Tyler A. Wright, Emily Martino; and great-grandson Luca Nicholas Angelone; siblings, Robert Betsko of Raritan, Mary Bogart of Raritan, sister-in-law, Patricia Betsko of Raritan and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held from 9:30AM- 11:30 AM on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at the Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 East Main Street, Bridgewater, NJ 08807 followed by a 12 noon funeral Mass at St. Joseph's Church in Bound Brook. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
