Obituary

Ronald W. VanCleef

Raritan- Ronald W. VanCleef, 79, died peacefully on Friday, April 28, 2023 at RWJUH-Somerset. Son of the late William and Carolyn Van Cleef, Ron was born in New Brunswick and lived in Belle Meade before moving to Raritan in 1972. Ron was a graduate of Somerville High School and attended Ryder University studying Accounting. Ron worked at Ethicon for 30 years as  a project manager and systems analyst, retiring in 1998. Ron was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved spending time outdoors, gardening and moreover, spending time with his family and grandchildren. Ron is predeceased by his brother, Peter VanCleef in 2021. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his beloved wife of 55 years, Margaret D. VanCleef of Raritan; children, Rachael A. VanCleef and husband, Wayne Kaminski of Lebanon, Jason R. VanCleef of Raritan; grandchildren, Violet and Ronald; and siblings, Thomas VanCleef, Lewis VanCleef, William VanCleef and Alice VanCleef. Visiting hours will be held from 4-7PM on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at the Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 East Main Street, Bridgewater, NJ 08807.
