Robert F. Ronca

Robert F. Ronca, 82, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 10, 2025, at Complete Care at Green Knoll, with his loving family at his side.

Born in Somerville to the late Eugene and Mary Ronca, Robert was a lifelong resident of Raritan. He was a proud graduate of Somerville High School, Class of 1961.

Robert dedicated many years of his professional life as an engineer at Bell Labs in Murray Hill, retiring in 1999. Known for his sharp mind and steady work ethic, he took great pride in his career and the friendships he built along the way.

In his spare time, Robert enjoyed being outdoors—he was an avid fisherman who loved spending time on the water throughout the year. A devoted New York Yankees fan, Robert rarely missed a game, but above all, he cherished the time spent with his family and friends.

Robert is predeceased by his beloved daughter, Denise Irey. He leaves behind his devoted wife of over 62 years, Patricia (Gecik) Ronca; his daughter, Kimberly Ronca and husband, Thomas Politowski; and his cherished grandchildren, Leanna Noll and her husband Brian, Devin Politowski and his wife Lori, and Daniel Politowski. He will also be dearly missed by his six great-grandchildren: Jayde, Addison, Peyton, and Declan Noll, and Joseph and Catalina Politowski; siblings, Eugene Ronca and wife, Susan, and John Ronca and wife, Pat.

Visitation will be held from 4–7 PM on Friday, November 14, 2025, at Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 E. Main St., Bridgewater, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at The Catholic Church of St. Ann in Raritan, NJ. Cremation will follow privately.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Research or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
