Robert A. Piccerillo

Lake Pocono, PA- Robert “Bob” A. Piccerillo, 78, passed away on November 3, 2021 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley  Hospital in Wilkes-Barre PA . Robert was born in Pen Argyl, PA on September 11, 1943 to Anthony and Lilly( Braido) Piccerillo. He graduated in 1962 from Pius X High School. He enlisted in the US Coast Guard from 1962 to 1967 as a second-class petty officer during the Cuban Missile Crisis. While on leave, he was in a midair collision with two commercial planes over Danbury, Connecticut on Dec 4, 1964.

In the summer of 1968, he met the love of his life, Beverly (Deitrick) Piccerillo. On October 16, 2021, they celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary. He is preceded in death by his son, Scott Piccerillo;  his brother, Vincent and his sister, Marie. Bob is survived by his beloved wife, Beverly Piccerillo, his daughter, Michelle Ally and her special friend, Don Ryno; his three grandsons, Tyler, and his special friend, Britt, Justin, and Timothy a.k.a Jake.

Visiting hours will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Monday, November 8, 2021 at the Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 East Main Street, Bridgewater, NJ 08807. A prayer service with military honors will take place 8 PM at the funeral home during the visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Wounded Warriors.
