Robert C. Boughner

Robert Boughner,84, of Bridgewater, died November 12, 2019, at RWJ Somerset Hospital after a brief illness.  Born in Somerville, Robert was a graduate of Somerville High School. He was a proud member of the United States Marine Corps, serving his country for 4 years.  After working in the NJ State Transportation Department, Bob enjoyed a long career as a Bridgewater Police Officer, retiring in 1992. He then worked for the Superior Court of NJ as a Sergeant-at-Arms in Somerville for several years.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Carol, children Jill, Eric and his wife Betsy, and grandchildren Annie, Gregory and Beatrice.  The family will be receiving friends and family on Tuesday, November 26,2019 from 6-8 pm at Bridgewater Funeral Home.
