Bridgewater, NJ – Richard “Richie” A. Kowaleski, 64, of Bridgewater, passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2025.
Born on July 26, 1961, in Somerville, NJ, Richie was the beloved son of the late Helen and Edward Kowaleski. He attended Bridgewater-Raritan High School and the Hunterdon Occupational Training School. Richie worked for 26 years at the Somerset County Recycling Center, where he was a dedicated and valued employee until his retirement in 2014.
In his spare time, Richie had a deep love for animals and enjoyed riding his ATV. He was a familiar sight around town on his three-wheel bike—a treasured gift from his father—which brought him much joy. Above all, Richie cherished spending time with his many friends. He will be remembered as a gentle man with a dynamic personality, whose enthusiasm and warmth touched everyone who knew him.
Richie is survived by his beloved wife, Karen Latzko; his siblings, Edward Kowaleski, Jr. and wife, Theresa, Joann Balliro and husband, Sebastian, and Judith Olzvyk; as well as his four nephews and four nieces. He was predeceased by his parents and his niece, Krista.
