Paul A. Overko

Raritan- Paul A. Overko, 74, passed away on Sunday, April 25, 2021 at the Lyons VA. Paul was born in Somerville, NJ to the late Andrew and Sophie Overko and grew up on Finderne Farms. Paul served in the U.S. Army and was awarded 2 purple hearts, one from the Army and one from the Marines, among other medals. He served his Country from 1967 to 1970, upon his return to the States he was employed for Belle Mead Depot for many years. Paul was an avid lover of nature who had a passion for fishing, hunting, and living in the moment. He spent a great deal of time searching and collecting American Indian items. Paul loved animals to, all creatures great and small. He will be remembered for being a force of nature.

Paul is predeceased by his sister, Dorothy Jannuzzi, brother-in-law, Robert Jannuzzi, niece, Dawn Jannuzzi and nephew Robert Jannuzzi, Jr.

 He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving niece, Sherry Jannuzzi, great nephew, Jonathan Jannuzzi, and cousins, Linda Yadlosky and her husband, Andy, Donna Tronolone, and Benjamin.

Visiting hours will be held from 6-8PM, Thursday, May 6, 2021 at the Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 East Main Street, Bridgewater, NJ 08807. A funeral service will be held at 10AM, Friday, May 7, 2021 at the funeral home followed by burial at New Cemetery in Somerville, NJ.
