Bridgewater – Patricia “Tricia” DeVito, beloved special education teacher, died Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Somerville after a long battle with cancer.  She was 52 years old.  Tricia was born Patricia Lynn Russo in Elizabeth, New Jersey in 1969 to parents Joanne and Louis Russo.  She lived in Westfield before moving to Bridgewater 18 years ago. She received her bachelors from Kean University in 1996. Tricia was a special education teacher at First Children’s School in Fanwood, New Jersey and before that Children Specialized Hospital at the same address.  In addition to her passion for educating, she was also an avid fan of Disney with Walt Disney World being her very favorite place on Earth.  She enjoyed planning trips to Disney nearly as much as going on them.  She was also the quintessential hockey mom, always rink side cheering her son and his teammates on the ice, supporting the team, planning events, and enjoying time with the other parents.  She is survived by her husband of 19 years, Michael DeVito; son, Mikey DeVito.  Visiting hours will be held from 5 to 8 PM on Friday, April 15, 2022 at the Bridgewater Funeral Home , 707 E. Main St., Bridgewater, NJ 08807.
