Mui Nguyen

Mui Nguyen, 80, passed away on June 2, 2022 at her residence in Bridgewater, NJ.  

Mui was born in Vietnam in 1942, learned to become a jewelry maker as a teenager to help her parents raise her younger siblings.  She continued with this profession until she left for the US in 1982.  She had lived in Somerville and Bridgewater since, raising her children and helping with her grandchildren.  Her favorite hobby is knitting, especially hats and scarves.  Hundreds of her creations have been donated to various charity organizations.

She is survived by her husband, Nhung Vu, son, Cuong Vu and wife, Loan Tran, son, Tuyen Vu and wife, Loan Nguyen, son, Nghi Vu, grandchildren, Thai, Ethan, AiVy, Xuan Nhi, brother, Duc Nguyen in Vietnam, brother, Minh Nguyen in Texas, and sisters, Mai Nguyen and Hong Ballie in Calgary, Canada.

Visiting hours will be held at Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 Bridgewater, NJ between 4-8pm on Friday June 10, 2022 and 8-10:30 am Saturday June 11, 2022.  
In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made to Carrier Clinic in Belle Meade, NJ.
