Basking Ridge- Monica Kurtas, died peacefully on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at home in Basking Ridge. Daughter of the late Juraj and Josephina Petriska, Monica was born in Diviaky, Slovakia. She was a homemaker and also worked in home health care. She is predeceased by her beloved husband, Josef in 1999. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her beloved children, Robert J. Kurtas, Teddy J. Kurtas, Joseph C. Kurtas (Aurea), Steve M. Kurtas (Svetlana); sisters, Maria Chren, Anna Lukscheider and 5 cherished grandchildren. Visiting hours will be held from 4-6 PM on Monday, January 4, 2021 at the Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 East Main Street, Bridgewater, NJ 08807. A funeral mass will be offered 9AM on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at the St. John Nepomucene Church, 411 East 66th Street and 1st Avenue,  NY NY followed by burial at Calvary Cemetery, 49-02 Laurel Hill Blvd, Woodside, NY.
