Michael Gnap

Manville- Michael Gnap, 92, passed away on Monday, October 3, 2022 at R.W.J.U.H. in New Brunswick. Michael was born and raised in Prusie, Poland to the late Jan and Katarzyna Gnap. In 1982, he immigrated to the United States, settling in Manville. Michael worked doing quality control in the farming industry while in Poland. He was a communicant of Christ the Redeemer Parish in Manville and a parishioner and former choir member of St. Michael the Archangel Ukrainian Catholic Church in Hillsborough. Michael was a musician and will be remembered for his lifelong accordion music he played at many weddings and special events.  
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Czeslawa Gnap who died on December 15, 2021. 
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his beloved sons, Eric Gnap and wife, Yolanta, and George Gnap and wife, Beata; grandchildren, Aneta, Arek, Marlena, and Matthew, 3 great-grandchildren, Ava, Zachy, and Julie; and siblings, Slawomira and Anna.
Visiting hours will be held from 4-7PM on Friday, October 7, 2022 at the Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 E. Main St. Bridgewater, NJ. Prayers will be said at 8AM on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at the funeral home, followed by a 9AM mass at Christ the Redeemer Parish (Sacred Heart Church) in Manville. Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
