Michael S. Bencze

Michael Steve Bencze, 63, died peacefully on Friday, May 19, 2023 at RWJ Hospital in New Brunswick. Son of Elizabeth Holland and the late Michael Bencze, Michael was born in Passaic, NJ and lived in Clifton before moving to Bridgewater in 1974. He graduated from Immaculata High School in 1977 and was a graduate of the French Culinary Institute. Michael worked as a professional chef all over the US and Virgin Islands before moving back to Bridgewater in 2015. Michael was predeceased by his father Michael Bencze and his stepfather Warren Holland. He is survived by his loving mother, Elizabeth Holland of Bridgewater; his sister, Elizabeth Richstone and husband, Ross of Boonton, and beloved niece Julianne Richstone.

Private service will be held at the Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 East Main Street, Bridgewater.
