Melinda L. Collins, 69, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Springfield, Ohio, to the late Fred and Lou Ann Collins, Melinda spent most of her life in Hillsborough and was a proud graduate of Hillsborough High School, Class of 1974. She was employed for many years as a deli clerk with A&P, later ACME Markets, in Kenilworth before retiring.
One of her favorite pastimes was online shopping, and she loved reconnecting with former classmates and friends. Above all, she cherished her family. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren, whom she loved to spoil with gifts, affection, and lasting memories. She also adored her beloved cat, Sabini, who was a constant companion.
Melinda leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving sons, Jason Rogers and his wife, Cindy; Jeremy Rogers and his wife, Kelly; and Michael Giammarco and his wife, Kristin; her brother, Floyd Collins; her cherished grandchildren, Damien, Greyson, Ryan, and Madison; along with many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
Memorial visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Sunday, August 9, 2026, at Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 E. Main Street, Bridgewater, New Jersey 08807. A memorial service will begin at 12:00 noon at the funeral home.
