Middlesex, NJ – Mary J. Imperiale, 92, Mary J. Imperiale (nee Hall), 92, of Middlesex, NJ, passed away on September 29, 2025 at RWJ of Somerset in Somerville, NJ, with her loving family by her side. Mary was born and raised in Newark, NJ and is formerly from Park Ridge and Emerson, NJ where she and her husband raised their family before moving to Middlesex, NJ in 1972. She began her career in the catering industry before working for Baker and Taylor in Bridgewater, NJ as a book buyer for over 35 years, and Sherban’s Diner in South Plainfield, NJ as a server and hostess for over 25 years.  In her spare time, Mary loved Elvis Presley, crocheting, Bingo, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is predeceased by her beloved husband, Vincenzo Imperiale, who passed in 1980, son Vincent who passed in 1957, her parents Mary DePiero (nee Viturello), Arthur Hall, stepfather Adolfo DePiero and siblings, Harriet Mauro (nee Hall) and Charles DePiero.

Mary leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving children, Patrick Imperiale and his wife, Sharon, and Theresa Imperiale - Rick, her sister, Betty Cummins (nee DePiero), her grandchildren, Michael, Christopher, Patricia Bonasera, (nee Imperiale) and Michelle Cox (nee Rick), and great-grandchildren, Alessio, Luca, Giorgio, Sienna, Dominic, (and a baby on the way, Olivia), Devon, Mia, Aria, and Keira and her loving niece Donna Bovino (nee Mauro), many more nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7PM, on Wednesday, October 8, 2025 and Thursday, October 9, 2025 at 9:00 AM at Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 E. Main St., Bridgewater, NJ 08807. Funeral mass will be held at 10:30AM, Thursday, October 9, 2025 at Our Lady of Mt. Virgin Church in Middlesex, NJ. Burial will follow at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus, NJ.
