Marie K. Cutt

Marie K. Cutt, 96, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 6, 2026, in Somerville, New Jersey.

Marie was born in Maplewood, New Jersey, to Frederick and Edith Stoehr. She was raised in Maplewood and later lived in Clark for many years where she raised her family before moving to Bridgewater 7 years ago.

A devoted mother, Marie had a special love for baking. She was well known for her delicious Christmas cookies and her beautiful cake decorating. Her talent for professional cake decorating was recognized when she was featured in the Newark Evening News and can be seen in here in a birthday cake.

In addition to her parents, Marie was predeceased by her beloved husband, John A. Cutt; her brother, Frederick Stoehr, and his wife Arlene; and her sister, Eleanor Rudy, and her husband Joseph.

She is survived by her son, John R. Cutt (wife Susan Nemeth), her daughter, Linda Hawkins (husband Brian), her brother, William A. Stoehr (wife Virginia), and her sister, Alice Faller (husband Karl).

Private funeral arrangements are under the care of Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 E. Main Street, Bridgewater, New Jersey.
