Maribeth Zagari, 68, of Bridgewater, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at St. Peter's Hospital in New Brunswick, surrounded by loved ones.
Born in Somerville to the late Michael and Agnes Zagari, Maribeth was a lifelong resident of the Finderne section of Bridgewater. A proud graduate of Bridgewater-Raritan High School East, she went on to build a long and respected career in banking. For the past 15 years, she served as a Fraud Specialist at Merrill Lynch in Pennington, where her attention to detail and steadfast work ethic earned the admiration of colleagues and clients alike.
Maribeth was known for her quiet strength, unwavering loyalty to her family, and her warm, steady presence. Her life was rooted in kindness and dedication, whether through her professional work or the deep bonds she maintained with those close to her.
She was predeceased by her beloved sister, Julianna Zagari, in 2022.
Maribeth is survived by her loving brothers, James Zagari and his wife Jo-Ann of Bridgewater, and David Zagari of Bridgewater; her dear friend Michael Piccolo of Hillsborough; five nieces and nephews; and nine great-nieces and nephews, all of whom will carry forward her memory with love and gratitude.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 East Main Street, Bridgewater, NJ 08807. A funeral service will take place at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, September 24, at the funeral home, followed by burial at Griggstown Cemetery.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
