Berkeley Heights, NJ- Maria Mendieta, 76, died on Friday, August 23, 2019 at the Runnells Center for Rehab in Berkeley Heights, NJ. Maria was born and raised in Quito, Ecuador  and immigrated to the United States in 1968, and resided in Newark NJ.

She is survived by her beloved daughter, Monica Paz. She was the beloved daughter of Jorge Murillo y Blanca Torres.  She had 3 sisters, Mercedes, Sara, Martha, and one brother, Jorge Murillo. 

Visiting hours will be held at 10-12noon, on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at the Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 East Main Street, Bridgewater, NJ 08807 and will conclude with a  funeral service at 12noon. Cremation will be private.
