Lucille Tymecki Obituary

Lucille Patricia Russo Tymecki, age 93, resided in Jefferson Township, Pennsylvania, previously resided in South Bound Brook, NJ, passed away 05 April 2022 at Mountain View Care Center, Scranton, Pennsylvania.  Born on April 23, 1928 in Plainfield, NJ to her beloved parents, Pasquale and Margaret Rose (Soriero) Russo.  After the death of her father in 1940, she moved to Trenton, NJ.  She was married to Frank Tymecki in 1953.  After marrying, she moved to South Bound Brook, NJ and soon began raising their family of 3 children.

Lucille was a loving, devoted wife, mother and grandmother.  She was an active parishioner of Our Lady of Mercy Church in South Bound Brook, served as Lector, as well as an active member of OLM Rosary Altar Society for many years-including Past Rosarian President.  When her three children attended St. Mary’s School in Bound Brook, she was active in their Parents-Teachers Association-including Past President.

Lucille was a Business teacher in the Business Department at Manville High School in Manville, NJ for 26 years, retiring in 1988.  After her graduation from Trenton Central High School in 1946, she went on to further her education where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Education, Class of 1950 from Trenton State Teachers College and a Masters degree in 1967 from Rider College where she was a member of Alpha Chi Chapter of Delta Pi Epsilon.  She was a life member of Somerset County New Jersey, and National Retired Education Associations.  In her later years, Lucille became a member of Bound Brook and South Bound Brook Senior Citizens.

Lucille loved flowers, especially arranging them in her patio which her late husband designed and built.  But most of all, her joy was crafting and attending craft shows near and far.  She loved travelling with the children when younger and her husband after retirement.  Many beautiful husband & wife memories from Sunday day trips, summer outings, and vacations to Italy, Germany, Russia, cruises to Panama Canal, Alaska, Canada and the United States.

Lucille was predeceased by her late husband, Frank Tymecki of 57 years in 2010; her parents, Pasquale and Margaret Russo; and sister, Josephine (Beanie) Russo Rollings.  Surviving are her children: daughter Lynn Margaret Saslo and her husband Sean of Jefferson Twp, PA; son David of Harrisville, RI; and Michael of San Antonio, Texas; and her two grandchildren: Seth Francis Saslo and Alexa Rose Tymecki; and three step grandchildren Carissa, Bailey and Bradley.
