Obituary

Louis Michael Costantini, 86, formerly of Bridgewater NJ, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2022, at Moravian Hall Square in Nazareth PA. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who cherished his family above all.   

Louis was born in Brooklyn and raised in The Bronx NY. He was the son of the late Louis and Mary (Messina) Costantini. He earned his B.S. degree from New York University College of Engineering. He began his career as a Chemical Engineer at American Cyanamid in CT managing several manufacturing locations across CT, ME, and NJ. He also served as a consultant for several corporations before retiring from Formica in 2001. He built a reputation as a respectful and fair manager who would look out for his team.

Louis and Flora married in 1961 and began raising their family in Cheshire CT. They later moved to Kennebunk ME, then settled in Bridgewater NJ where they hosted many holidays and gatherings with family and friends. Louis and Flora enjoyed going to numerous Broadway Musicals and Plays together. They were active in several ministries at St. Bernard's Church for 30 years where he served on the Financial Council, Men’s Club, Young Builders Club and Men’s Choir. Louis loved the outdoors, spending countless hours gardening and tending to his yard. He was an avid reader and was a lifelong fan of the New York Giants and New York Mets.

He was predeceased by his wife Flora who passed away in September 2020, daughter Carolynn Manfready who passed away in June 2022 and brother Paul Costantini.

He is survived by his children: son, John Costantini and wife, Elisabetta (their children: Joseph, Christina, Anthony and Zach (wife Kaleigh and their son Nolan)); daughter, Ann Marie Mulhearn and husband, Tom (their children:  Matthew and wife Valerie, Ryan and wife Nicole and their daughter, Charlotte, Michael, David and wife Laura, Lisa, Alyssa and Katie); daughter, Michele Musumeci and husband, Tom (their children: Caitlin and Brian); son Paul Costantini and his wife, Erica (their children Adam, Ty, Kelli and Nikki); granddaughters, Samantha Manfready and Ashley Sanchez (her children: Jayden and Jonathan). He is also survived by his sister, Angela Gallo.  


Visiting hours will be from 5 PM - 8 PM on Tuesday, October 18th, at Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 E. Main Street, Bridgewater.  The funeral mass will be held 10 AM on Wednesday, October 19th, at St. Bernard of Clairvaux Church in Bridgewater. Entombment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery in Bridgewater.   In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks that you send donations to St Bernard of Clairvaux in Bridgewater NJ.
