Bridgewater – Lorelei Ann Konsko, 69, died peacefully on Monday, December 4, 2023, surrounded by her family. Daughter of the late Raymond and Mary Canavesio, Lorie was born and raised in Middlesex, NJ, before ultimately settling down in Bridgewater, NJ, with her beloved husband Mike and sons Brian and Matthew. After graduating from Middlesex High School, Lorie went on to earn her credential from Katharine Gibbs Secretarial School. Lorie worked for several years as an Executive Assistant at AT&T Long Lines before leaving to focus on raising her boys. In 2008, Lorie received her Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do from Master Yu’s Black Belt Institute.
Lorie was an avid reader and collector. She loved to travel, be it summers at the beach, winters in the mountains, trips abroad, or a visit to a theme park. Closer to home, she spent time baking cookies, trying out the latest floaties in the pool, and spoiling her golden retrievers. Nothing, however, brought her more joy than becoming a grandmom.
Despite her health challenges, Lorie brought light and love to the world. Her laughter, care, and kindness were constants in the lives of her family and friends. She had a way of making you feel like you were the most special person in the world. Lorie was a loving and dedicated mother, grandmother, wife, aunt, sibling, and friend. She shouldered the burdens of others without hesitation; gave freely of her love and support; and approached the world with unbridled compassion, good humor, and smiles that brightened every room. She had a zest for life that was unmatched and was forever a kid at heart. While she will be dearly missed by all, her spirit and the warmth of her legendary hugs will live on in those who were blessed to have known her.
Lorie leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband, Mike; sons Brian and Matthew; daughter-in-law Christina; and grandson Jaden; in addition to her many friends and relatives who loved her dearly.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, December 10, 2023, from 12-3pm at the Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 East Main Street, Bridgewater, NJ 08807.
