Lolamma "Lola" Thomas

Lolamma Thomas “Lola”, the daughter of K.C. Mathulla of the Kannankara Kandathil family and Aleyamma Maret was born in Vallumkulam, Thiruvalla, Kerala, India on April 24, 1934. She holds an undergraduate degree from India in History and two undergraduate degrees in Accounting and Sociology from Upsala College in East Orange, NJ.

Lolamma served as secretary of the Thiruvalla YWCA Hostel and  retired from First National Bank as a trust accountant in Newark, NJ.

She was raised with five brothers and was married to Thomas Mathews of the Purackal family. Lolamma is survived by her son Sunil, daughter in law Beena, granddaughters Rebecca, Bianca, Jessica and her husband Joshua, and great grandsons Neil and Jason.  

Visitation will be held from 4-6PM, Friday, December 26, 2025 at the Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 E. Main St., Bridgewater, NJ 08807. Funeral services will be held at 9:30AM, Saturday, December 27, 2025 at the funeral home, followed by burial at Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick.
