Linda M. Gable

Raritan- Linda M. Gable, 72, died peacefully on Saturday, April 8, 2023 at RWJUH-Somerset. Daughter of the  late Alfred and Helen Lowrie, Linda was born in Plainfield, grew up in South Plainfield, and lived most of her adult life in Manville and Hillsborough before moving to Raritan 10 years ago. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as an executive assistant at FedEx where she had worked for many years. Linda was an Elks member along with her husband at Lodge 1068. She was predeceased by her husband, Jerry G. Nealis, Sr. in 1977; and son Jerry G. Nealis, Jr. in 2017. She is survived by her beloved husband, Theodore Clark Gable; cherished grandson, Jerry G. Nealis, III; daughter-in-law, MaryEllen Nealis; step daughter, Karen Zink and husband, Jeremy; step-son, Robert Gable; and siblings, Carol Kilgannon and husband, John, Alfred Lowrie and Patricia Bergold; and several nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held from 11-12 noon with a 12 noon funeral service on Friday, April 21, 2023 at the Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 East Main Street, Bridgewater, NJ 08807. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Scotch Plains. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Linda's memory to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (www.bcrf.org).
