Lillian L. “Red” Larsen
Whitehouse Station– Lillian L. “Red” Larsen, 98, passed away at Foot Hill Acres in Hillsborough on September 29, 2022. Lillian was born at the Finderne Farms section of Bridgewater and resided in Laramie, WY, and Houston, TX, before returning to Whitehouse, NJ. Lillian was a Girl Scout Leader for Whitehouse Junior Troop for several years and then worked for the Rolling Hills Girl Scout Council Office for many years. She was an active member of the Grange 153 in South Branch and North Branch Reformed Church. Later in life, Lillian was employed as a bus driver for the Hunterdon Central High School. In her spare time, she loved planting trees and gardening on her property in Whitehouse and enjoyed sharing her pool with the grandchildren and numerous friends, cousins, nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed by family and friends. Another one of the members of "the greatest generation", who were independent, worked hard, and were dedicated to their families, churches and communities.
Lillian is predeceased by her husband, Norman; her son, Robert Larsen; and brother, Bernhard Meyer.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her two daughters, Karen Larsen of Whitehouse Station, NJ, Amy Larsen (Dave Lundgren) Waterville, Washington; grandchildren, Bridget Williams of Cocoa, Florida and Duke (Heather)Williams of Baden, Pennsylvania; two great grandchildren, Grace and Austen; and siblings, Edward J. Meyer of Bridgewater, and Helen Rosania of Bridgewater.
Visiting hours will be held from 4-7PM, on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at the Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 E. Main St., Bridgewater, NJ 08807 with a funeral service at 6:30PM. Graveside services will be held 11AM on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at the Rural Hills Cemetery in Whitehouse, NJ.
