Leonard Lazas
Hillsborough- Leonard Lazas, died peacefully on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at Bridgeway Care Center in Hillsborough. He was 87. Son of the late Michael and Agnes Lazas, Leonard was born in Somerville, he grew up in Manville and lived the past 60 years in Hillsborough. He was a US Navy Veteran serving during the Korean War. Leonard worked for many years and retired from the Belle Mead Depot. He was a faithful communicant and volunteer of various committee’s of Christ the Redeemer Parish, was an avid fisherman and outdoor sportsman, and member of the Manville Rod and Gun Club of which was founded by his father, Michael Lazas. He was predeceased by his wife, Helen (Dankanics) Lazas in 2016; and siblings, Michael Lazar and Alice Lazar. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins. A funeral mass will be offered 9AM on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at Christ the Redeemer Parish (Sacred Heart Church) in Manville followed by Burial at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hillsborough. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 East Main Street, Bridgewater, NJ 08807.
