Toms River – Leonard F. Cavalluzzi, 95, passed away on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, with his family by his side in Martinsville. Lee was born in Newark, NJ to the late Rocco and Brigida Cavalluzzi. He resided in Linden, NJ for over 30 years before moving to Toms River in 1991. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing cards, trips to Atlantic City, watching the Yankees and Jets, scratch-off lottery tickets and especially being with family. Lee was also a member of the Holiday City South Men’s Club, several bocce leagues and bowling leagues in which he received many first-place awards.
He is predeceased by his siblings and their spouses, Frank and Isabelle Cavalluzzi, and Marge and Charles Jasinkewicz. Lee leaves behind to cherish his loving memory his beloved wife of over 72 years, Antoinette Cavalluzzi; children Cindy Alexy and her husband, John, Leonard Cavalluzzi and his wife, Terry, and Michael Cavalluzzi and his wife, Kara; grandchildren, John-Michael (Jill) Alexy, Rosanne (Joe) Seidler, Kristin Alexy, Michael, and Gianna Cavalluzzi, and great-grandsons, Nicholas and Christopher Seidler.
Visiting hours will be held from 2-4PM and 7-9PM on Monday, October 9, 2023, at the Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 East Main Street, Bridgewater, NJ 08807. Prayers will be said at 9AM on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, followed by a 10AM funeral mass at Blessed Sacrament Church in Martinsville. Entombment will be held at St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia.
