L. Jean Harrison (Bridgewater), 95, died peacefully on Thursday July 13 in Huntsville, Alabama with her nephew Dana Tomalty by her side. Jean is predeceased by her beloved husband and corporate attorney, Charles M. Harrison who passed in 2013. She was the daughter of Carson and Edna Tomalty of Mount Maple, Quebec and the oldest of six siblings. She is predeceased by her brother James (Hap) Tomalty, and survived by her brothers Gerald Tomalty and Robert Tomalty, and her sisters Joyce McIntyre, Grace Thompson and Linda McDonald. She also leaves behind her daughter L. Jean Walker and her two cherished grandsons, Chris Walker and Geoffrey Walker. In her early years, Jean served as the Head Nurse at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Montreal. She was a dedicated member of the Bridgewater United Methodist Church, a nursing volunteer at Somerset Medical Center, and an active volunteer in the Bridgewater community. She loved gardening, home decorating, crossword puzzles, reading, and crafts. Jean was an extraordinary woman who adored spending time with her family and friends. She will be laid to rest beside her husband at Somerset Hills Memorial Park and Chapel Mausoleum in Basking Ridge, NJ on Friday, July 28 at 2:30 pm.
