Kenneth J. Salvatore
Bound Brook- Kenneth J. Salvatore, 51, died on Friday, December 17, 2021 at RWJUH in New Brunswick. Born in Somerville he was a lifelong resident of Bound Brook. Ken was a graduate of Bound Brook High School and a graduate of Rutgers University. He worked at Verizon in Basking Ridge as a Community Manager. Prior to that, Kenny worked at the American Red Cross in Somerville as Director of Health and Safety for many years. Ken also taught swimming lessons to many children at the Bound Brook Park Pool, as well as the YMCA and Rutgers University.
He is survived by his loving parents, Phillip and Norma Salvatore of Bound Brook; his dear sister, Patricia McGuire and husband, John of Middlesex; and his dear brother, Michael Salvatore and wife, Josefa of Middlesex. He is survived by his loving nieces and nephews, which were the light of his life and his pride and joy, Nicole and Michael McGuire, and Daniella and Michael Dean Salvatore. They will miss him dearly.
In his spare time, Ken enjoyed being an avid member of the Bound Brook Hall of Fame, spending time with his beloved family at his favorite place, Wildwood Crest, and loved a good chicken parm dinner. Ken also enjoyed being a spectator and cheering on his nieces and nephews at their many sporting events.
He will always be remembered for his caring attitude, helping and putting others first and making you feel special. Ken leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends. He was a bright light in everyones heart.
We will never forget the memories we made, the stories we shared and the million times he made everyone laugh and smile. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Visiting hours will be held from 5-8 PM with a prayer service at 7:30PM on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at the Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 East Main Street, Bridgewater, NJ 08807.
