Kay B Chariandy

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kay Chariandy, a cherished mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, aunt, and cousin, who left us peacefully at home (after a short battle with cancer) and surrounded by family on December 18.  Kay was a beacon of love and strength to all who knew her. Predeceased by her parents Kitchener Taylor and Bella Samuel, brothers Vernon and Robert and sister Gloria. She is survived by her brother Kent, children: Kathy (Arlene) and her husband Ronald, Edward and his wife Charlene, Anthony and his wife Lisa and Ricardo.

As a devoted mother, Kay poured her heart and soul into raising her four children.   She instilled in them the values of kindness, compassion, and resilience, always encouraging them to pursue their dreams. Her unwavering support and unconditional love were the foundation upon which they built their lives.

As a grandmother, Kay embraced her role with joy and enthusiasm. Her grandchildren were the light of her life. She delighted in sharing stories, cooking and creating lasting memories that they will carry with them forever. Her warmth and wisdom will continue to guide them as they navigate their own journeys.

Kay was also a beloved aunt, known for her kind spirit and nurturing nature. She shared a special bond with her nieces, always ready with a listening ear or a word of encouragement. Her laughter, dancing and zest for life brought joy to family gatherings, and her legacy of love will live on in the hearts of all her relatives.

Kay is survived by her loving children, grandchildren, nieces, cousins, and a host of friends who will miss her dearly.

As we say goodbye to Kay, we find comfort in knowing that her spirit will live on in the love she shared and the lives she touched. She will forever be remembered as a guiding light in our lives, and her legacy of love will continue to inspire us all.

Visitation will be held from 9-10am, on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at the Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 E. Main St., Bridgewater, NJ 08807 with a funeral service at 9:30am. Cremation will follow at Somerset Hills Memorial Park.
