Kathleen Alda Miller, 100, of Bridgewater, New Jersey

Kathleen Alda Miller, a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully at the age of 100. Born on May 9, 1925, in the Bronx, New York, Kathleen lived a full and vibrant life, marked by her faith, kindness, resilience, and deep love for her family.

Kathleen raised her children in Brentwood, Long Island, where she created a warm and nurturing home. Her legacy is carried on by her four surviving children: Karin Dengler and her husband Michael of St. Louis, Missouri; Laura LaCombe and her husband Peter Tonno of Belle Mead, New Jersey; Philip LaCombe and his wife Beth of Ellicott City, Maryland; and Robert LaCombe and his wife Jacky of Jamestown, New York. She is predeceased by her eldest son, Mark LaCombe.

Kathleen’s life was also shaped by the enduring bonds of love through her three late husbands: Robert LaCombe, Michael Pellegrino, and George Miller. She found joy and strength in each chapter of her life and remained a steady presence for her growing family through the years.

She was the proud grandmother of 11 grandchildren and 3 step-grandchildren, and the cherished great-grandmother of numerous great-grandchildren. Kathleen was a woman of quiet grace, with a gentle spirit and a generous heart. She was known for her warm smile, unwavering support, and the deep affection she had for her family, whom she loved beyond measure.

Her legacy of love, perseverance, and compassion lives on in all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

A funeral service will be held at Bridgewater Funeral Home in Bridgewater, New Jersey, on Monday, July 21, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Kathleen will be laid to rest beside her first husband, Robert LaCombe, at Long Island National Cemetery in Farmingdale, New York, on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at 11:00 a.m.
