Karen A. Dyer-Ely

Hillsborough- Karen A. Dyer-Ely, 55, died suddenly on Tuesday, May 17, 2022. Karen was born in Huntington, NY and lived many years in Hillsborough NJ. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Marist College and then went on to receive her Masters Degree in Special Education from Seton Hall University and her LDTC Certificate from Montclair State University. Karen was a devoted and cherished daughter, sister, wife, and mother. Karen was an Instructional Aide for the Hillsborough Board of Education. She is predeceased by her father Richard Robert Dyer. Karen leaves behind to cherish her memory her beloved husband of 29 years, Douglas S. Ely; children, Brian, David, Sean, Andrew, and Lauren; mother, Shirley Ann Dyer; siblings, Steven Dyer and wife, Anne, Christopher Dyer, Richard Dyer and wife, Cristine, and David Dyer and wife, Stacia. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, May 23, 2022 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 East Main Street, Bridgewater, NJ 08807. A funeral Mass will be offered 10 AM on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at  St. Joseph's Church in Hillsborough. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church Youth Group.
