Judith DuBois

Judith Ann DuBois (née Butler), born July 30, 1951, in Sugar Notch, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully at home on May 27, 2026.

Judy was born to John Butler and Anita (née Kus) Piasecki. Following the passing of her father, she was lovingly raised by Bernard Piasecki, who became a steady and devoted presence throughout her life. In 1964, Judy moved with her family to the Finderne neighborhood of Bridgewater, New Jersey, where Riha Street would become the backdrop for the next 62 years of her life. In true Judy fashion, she never strayed far — living in four different houses on the very same street. She was the kind of neighbor people could turn to in times of need.

A proud graduate of Bridgewater High School East, Class of 1969, Judy was a cheerleader — something many who knew her later in life would probably be tickled to learn. After high school, she attended St. Peter’s Nursing School before beginning her career caring for others as a Nursing Assistant at Somerset Medical Center, where she worked faithfully until her retirement in October 2016.

Judy found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved solving logic puzzles, watching cop shows with an ice-cold glass of Diet Pepsi nearby, and making her famous lasagna for holidays and family gatherings. For most of her life, Judy enjoyed crocheting and made personalized baby blankets for many nieces, nephews, friends, and loved ones. As a child, she played the organ in her community church. Nothing made her prouder than watching her grandsons discover their own musical talents through piano.

She was predeceased by her father, John Butler, and her mother, Anita Piasecki.

Judy is survived by her loving husband, Tom DuBois, of Bridgewater, New Jersey; her daughters, Jaime Roach and her husband Michael of Spring City, Pennsylvania, and Jennifer Griffiths and her husband Brandon of Hillsborough, New Jersey; and her cherished grandsons, Jacob and Alexander Roach, who brought endless pride and happiness to her life.

She is also survived by her beloved second father, Bernard Piasecki of Bridgewater; her sister, Susan Hollender and her husband Richard of Bridgewater; her brother, John Butler and his wife Marilyn of Lempster, New Hampshire; and her brother, Michael Piasecki and his wife Carol of Neshanic, New Jersey. She also leaves behind her nephews, Ryan and Dylan Hollender, with whom she shared many holidays, family gatherings, and proud moments throughout the years.

A memorial visitation will be held from 10AM- 11:30AM with services beginning at 11:30AM on Thursday, June 4, 2026 at the Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 E. Main Street, Bridgewater, NJ 08807. Memorial contributions may be to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
