Jozef Florek

Manville – Jozef Florek, 68, passed away on Friday, November 29, 2024 at Overlook Hospital with his family by his side. Jozef was born in Słopnice, Poland and immigrated to the United States in 1976, settling in Manville, NJ. Jozef was employed for over 20 years for Phoenix Container Corp., in North Brunswick, NJ as a machinist. In his spare time, he enjoyed traveling to Poland and restoring vintage cars and motorcycles. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Jozef is predeceased by his wife, Helena Florek, who passed in 2008, brothers, Stanislaw and Henryk Florek and sister, Emilia Maciejkowicz.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his children, Joseph Florek and his wife, Renata, Adam Florek and his wife, Lisandra, Ann Marie Barthalis and her husband, Alexander, and Renata Grzeczkowicz and her husband, Dawid, nine grandchildren, sister, Maria Krawczyk, companion, Halina Mysliwiec, and by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visiting hours will be held from 4-7PM on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at the Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 East Main Street, Bridgewater, NJ 08807. Prayers will be said at 8AM on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at the funeral home, followed by a 9AM funeral mass at Sacred Heart Church in Manville. Burial will be held at Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery in Doylestown, PA.
