John Kelly Obituary

John Joseph Kelly, 74, passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at his home in South Bound Brook surrounded by his family. John was born and raised in Bound Brook to the late Martin F. and Angela Kelly, before moving to South Bound Brook in 1973. In his spare time, John enjoyed listening to Frank Sinatra and reading Tom Clancy, and greatly enjoyed historical documentaries. He was also a lifelong Indianapolis Colts fans. John was a staple of the Bound Brook Community, having worked as a bartender and served his community for over 53 years. He was a cherished friend and mentor, offering comfort, advice, and companionship through his witty humor and kind heart.

He is predeceased by his brother, Martin Kelly.

John leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of over 52 years, Dianne Kelly and their daughter, Kathryn M. Kelly, and his nieces and nephews, Shannon Kelly, Alison Franz, Brian Quinlan, Martin Kelly, and Michael Kelly. He was a devoted Husband, loving Father and Uncle and he will be deeply missed.

Visiting hours will be held from 2-4PM and 7-9pm, Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at the Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 East Main Street, Bridgewater, NJ 08807. A funeral mass will be held at 11AM on Thursday, March 13, 2025 at Our Lady of Mercy Church in South Bound Brook. Burial will follow at Bound Brook Cemetery.
