Joanna M. Dobrowolska

Joanna Magdalena Dobrowolska, 45, of Hillsborough, NJ, passed away after a courageous fight with cancer at her home on Monday, December 9, 2024. Born in Rabka Zdroj, Poland, she grew up in Krakow, a city she was immensely proud of.  In her childhood years she loved to spend her time hiking in Tatra Mountains and traveling with her family.  After graduating from Jagiellonian University, Joanna immigrated to the United States and worked as a medical billing and coding specialist.  In 2011, Joanna was married to her husband Robert and made her home in Hillsborough, where she dedicated herself to raising her family. She was deeply supportive of her beloved husband and took great pride in raising their two children, Matthew and Julia, while teaching them Polish language and culture. Joanna set her heart and mind to make her kids life better everyday. She enjoyed cooking, growing flowers, and her favorite, mushroom hunting in Poland.

Joanna is also survived by her loving parents, Andrzej and Halina Majchrowski, and her sister, Kinga Majchrowska. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile, her caring for others, and her unwavering love for her family.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 16, 2024, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 E. Main Street, Bridgewater, NJ 08807. A Funeral Mass will be offered at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at St. Joseph's Church in Hillsborough.

Joanna will be deeply missed by all who knew her, and her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
