Browns Mills, NJ – Joan M. Johnson, 60, passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at Virtua-Memorial Hospital in Mt. Holly, NJ with her loving daughter, Jessica, at her side. Joan was born in Plainfield, NJ to the parents Richard and Patricia Johnson and had resided in Somerset county  before moving to Browns Mills in the 80s. She was employed for Teleflex Communications in Lumberton for many years, retiring in 2010. In her spare time, she loved spending time with her family and friends especially around the holiday and football season. Joan also enjoyed being apart of the VFW, last minute trips and the Philadelphia eagles.

She is predeceased by her son, Donald E. Johnson and daughter, Elizabeth A. Johnson, and siblings, Ricky, Patricia, Michael Johnson, and Frances Britt.

Joan leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving daughter, Jessica Truex; grandchildren, Steven Truex, Haley Truex, Blake Truex, Daniel Quintana, and Cameron Camp, and 3 great-grandchildren Autumn, Hudson, and Nora.

Visiting hours will be held from ­­­­11-1PM, on Thursday, July 27, 2023 at the Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 East Main Street, Bridgewater, NJ 08807 with a memorial service at 12:30PM. Burial of ashes will be held at New Cemetery in Somerville, NJ.

 In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Jessica Truex or directly to Bridgewater Funeral Home.
