Jane Komssi

Bridgewater – Jane Komssi, 81, passed away on April 24, 2023 at Sunrise Senior Living Community in Bridgewater, NJ. She was born in Somerville, NJ to the late William and Ivel (Van Fleet) Gulick. She resided in Somerville for many years before moving to Bridgewater. Jane was a nurse for over 40 years with various practices over her career. Jane was an active member and Deacon of Finderne Reformed Church in Bridgewater. She served in the Navel Sea Cadet Corps as a Lieutenant from 1991 until she retired in 1999.  Jane was also an active member of the Navy League, Central Jersey Council.  She was an active member of the Order of Eastern Star for over 50 years and involved in the Bridgewater Seniors organization. In her spare time, she enjoyed fishing, classical music, travel and lunches, movies and trips with family and friends. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her beloved children, Penny Jane Maurer and her husband, Michael, and Thomas James Komssi and grandchildren, Michael John Maurer, Jr., Samantha Jane Maurer, and Sean Thomas Komssi.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1 pm on June 10th at the Finderne Reformed Church, 581 Bridgewater Ave., Bridgewater, NJ 08807. A reception will follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Finderne Reformed Church and New Jersey Breast Cancer Research Fund.
