James B. Teresak, 66, died on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at JFK Hospital in Edison.
Son of the late Andrew W. Teresak, Sr. and Anna (Casino) Teresak, Jim was born in Somerville and grew up in Raritan. He was a 1977 graduate of Bridgewater-Raritan High School West, where he excelled in athletics. Jim played football and was an all-star wide receiver and pitcher on the school’s baseball team.
Jim was an avid fan of the New York Giants and especially enjoyed watching his nephew Justin compete in asphalt stock car racing. He loved spending time with family and friends, socializing, and sharing good times over a few drinks.
A lifelong resident of the Bridgewater and Raritan area, Jim worked for many years in landscaping and construction.
He is survived by his beloved daughter, Shannon Teresak of Somerset; his brothers, Andrew W. Teresak, II and his wife Debora of Alabama, and Darryl J. Teresak and his wife Barbara Lynn of Whitehouse Station; and his cherished nieces and nephews, Melissa, Spencer, Christopher, and Justin.
He will be remembered for his outgoing personality, love of sports, and the many friendships he made throughout his life.
Gravesides services will be held at 11AM, Thursday July 2, 2026 at St. Bernard Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 E. Main Street, Bridgewater, NJ 08807.
